Story
Thanks for visiting my JustGiving page!
A close friend of mine is battling Cancer, she is more like an Auntie and has always been a positive role model and a genuinely nice person to know and be around.
She is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. She has watched me grow from a girl to a woman and is always happy and smiling.
While she goes through what she does I feel useless as a friend.
I see her good and bad days & I wish I could do more to help. She is so strong & inspirational, even when she found out and had to start chemo, she remained so calm and positive.
She inspired me to do this. Most people know someone that has battled Cancer, won or lost.
I cannot help her directly, like anyone we love, people we lose, we wish we could just take the illness away but we can't.
But we CAN help in our own way... This is with everyone in mind that I ever heard the C word mentioned. It can happen to anyone so this is my way of trying to help.
Nobody deserves to go through what she and many others have to.
For all of January I’m taking on Dryathlon® and raising money for Cancer Research UK. I started at midnight on New Years Eve whilst in a club in Leicester Square, London surrounded by temptation.
I’ll be ditching the alcohol for one whole month to help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
Your donations mean so much to me and Cancer Research UK because together we can all make a difference.
