Marina was taken from us suddenly and without warning on Thursday 13th July 2023. She was 29 and looking forward to her role as a barrister. Marina has studied and worked in law and justice since starting her law degree in Liverpool, eleven years ago.
In Autumn 2016, at the age of 22, Marina travelled to Kenya to work on the African Prison Project (now known as Justice Defenders). She worked at Kamiti Maximum Security Prison, teaching law to inmates so they were able to become defenders of justice, working to help free, not always themselves but also fellow inmates.
