Story

Hello Everyone

As many of you know, I am running the Ankor Wat half marathon (in Cambodia) on Sunday 5th December this year.

For more information about the race, please click on the following link:

 www.angkormarathon.org/

I am not sure what condition I’ll be in by the end – it involves a very cheap flight to Thailand via Oman and the notoriously bone crunching Thai – Cambodia border crossing, but it should be an adventure...

Over the past few years I have raised money for SeeSaw in various races, a wonderful local charity that provides grief support for bereaved young children. This is the charity I will be supporting once again (see link below for more).

 www.seesaw.org.uk

I am well aware that there are always lots of people asking for sponsorship, so apologies for joining the queue! However, if you could sponsor me for just a couple of pounds that would be a great help. Please be assured that all donations go directly to SeeSaw – I am funding the trip myself. I will write a short piece ion the experience when I get back.

Additionally, I plan to match the total amount raised for SeeSaw with a donation to the Susan Rowland ‘quiet room’ at Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, South Wales. The quiet room was set aside (in memory of my mum) for hospital staff, visitors and out patients to use when they needed time, space and privacy away from the general goings on of the hospital.

You can sponsor me (and give my bank balance pain as well as my feet) via my just giving page – which is totally secure and ‘gift aidable’.
