Story
Hi everyone!
In 10 days i will be running the London Marathon. This is my first and I am going to need all your support!
Most of you know that running is not my thing. I run at a snail's pace and usually trailing behind in the shadow of my husband Ilyas.
So why am i running 42 km? Three great reasons.
1. I am running to raise £2000 for Leonard Cheshire Disability. I was introduced to LCD last year. I have been humbled and amazed by the fantastic work the charity does in supporting disabled people and helping them gain their independence. You can click on the link to learn more. Through this JustGiving you can donate directly to LCD. It is fast, safe and totally secure. Once you donate, your money goes directly to LCD and they will make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. This means I can raise more while saving time and cutting costs for the charity!
2. I am also fund raising for the Hong Kong Juvenile Diabetes Association. HKJDA is close to my heart as it is a HK charity(and I am a HK girl!), it was started by my sister-in-law, Joanna Hotung, and I have two family members who have Diabetes Mellitus. I am hoping donors will support the charity through the Sponsor a Child scheme. You can find out more by logging on to www.hkjda.org.
