Having lost mum back in August 2011 I started raising money for Cancer Research. I have done some amazing things over the past four years and shared many of them with a group of amazing friends. My memories will always be treasured. Losing dad in October has made me very determined to complete this year's challenges. He was very proud of me getting a place in the London Marathon and having the opportunity to climb Kili. I know both mum and dad will be by my side every step of the way. This year I'm doing it for both of them x

The current total raised is £19,100 and I would dearly love to make it to the £20,000 mark. Just think of all the good that amount of money could do to help understand this diseased and maybe help cure some people.

I'm doing a number of challenges again this year (hoping the knee behaves!) and will be assisted again by some of my incredible and supportive - if not just a little mad - friends.

Training has started and so far I have run well over 100 miles to try and complete these events.

It all kicks off on April 24th brings the London Marathon - scary

June 26th I'm off to Wales for the Swansea Half Marathon with Sonia, Di and Mat.

August 11th I fly off to Tanzania to climb Kilimanjaro with Steve - hopefully we both survive!

September 11th is the Great North Run with Di, Sonia, Mark, Louise, Mat and Jo

Two weeks later on 25th September is Nottingham Half.

We will also be doing a Race for Life for Schools event, plus maybe Pretty Muddy, Race for Life and Colour Run
