Story
This year the University of Manchester’s Islamic Society is fundraising for the Global Rahmah Foundation (GRF), the Yemen Appeal. Yemen is currently facing the World’s Worst Humanitarian Crisis with approximately 19.3 million Yemenis not having any access to clean drinking water and sanitation. The lack of clean water has led to a cholera outbreak, disproportionately affecting children. GRF is working on the ground in Yemen to provide safe drinking water to families and communities through water tanks that are refilled on a regular basis with water safe for consumption.
Through weekly charity stalls we are aiming to raise £2,500 to build 10 Public Water Tanks. No donation is to small and, ‘Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly - their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.’ 2:274
