For the past ten years I have been fit and able enough to raise funds for the important research undertaken by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.  Many generous people have supported my running efforts (6 Marathons and 10 half-marathons) as well as music concerts, sports competition and charity sales.   Now, at the age of 70, I will run my final GNR in recognition of all the fantastic support given to me over the past 10 years!

The support has meant so much to me (and my wife) for although Daniel succumbed to this inherited and fatal disease (most common genetic illness in UK) there has been excellent progress in discovering its inherent cause and finding the best way to eradicate its painful and sad end.  So, thank you all!    May this be an encouragement to new donors?
