This years *Majik Bunnie* Challenge is for The Children's Society. For the past 9 years I have done a physical challenge for a charity. To celebrate 10 YEARS !!! As *Majik Bunnie* ..... I am taking on Climbing the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis. This charity is especially close to my heart as I know too well the effects of living in domestic trauma as a child. Many young children become runaways and sadly are not helped in time and they go on to live a life that has tremendous difficulties and limited choices, often they get involved in drugs, and worse. The Children's Society provides help and professional aid to vulnerable children of all ages and enables them to continue their education and live a life they deserve.
Some of you may think ... So what ! ... Loads of people climb Ben Nevis, it's a walk in the park. Indeed it is for may fit people, 3 years ago I developed Arthritis that affects my knees quite badly, (especially my left knee) it's compounded by deteriorating cartilage problems too, some days climbing the stairs can be quite painful, going down stairs is worse. I prefer not to call it Arthritis and have now changed it to 'Small Dog Syndrome' :-) .... But this may be the last year I will get a chance to overcome 'Small Dog Syndrome' and take on a challenge like this. I HAVE to do it, and after all, it's my TENTH Anniversary as *Majik Bunnie* so it has to be a challenge worthy of that. ..... Your support is important to me and I'm afraid the dreaded Just Giving Page will be appearing soon. I'm hoping to climb sometime in JULY when the weather is best. ..... SOoooo .... This years 10th Anniversary Majik Bunnie Challenge is ..... Ben Nevis ..... Oh and I will be wearing my BUNNY ears ! :-) .....
Well you have to don't you. :-)
