It was hot with temperatures around 27 Celsius in the park and the route seemed to include lots of hills but we did it! I ran and interviewed people for my show as I went and my husband thought he'd stroll around with Miss Maisy at the back but she wasn't having any of it - she wanted to run and proceeded to drag him round in 30 minutes which included a swim in the lake to cool down!

The Red Alert Appeal 5k run around Sutton Park is to help the charity Cure Leukaemia fund research nurses who will work with patients to try and find more effective ways of treating this dreadful disease.

All of us at BBC WM are committed to helping Cure leukaemia but we can't do this without your help. Any amount of cash you can spare is really appreciated.
