Last year owing to COVID Child Action Lanka who were never used to having kids in residential care were forced to rescue a group of 8 children off the street who had nowhere to go during the lockdown. All below the age of 12. They now live in a house we rented for them with lots of love and care. And though the lockdown isn’t there anymore, these kids who have never felt so safe and secure knowing they’ll have their next meal and won’t be forced into labour to earn money for older people on the street who needed their addictions funded… the kids want to stay on and we are trying our best to keep them. We’ve done a sponsorship programme called guardian angel but that doesn’t cover all costs. 

Any money given as a birthday gift will be donated towards running the shelter to continue keeping these children safe and off the streets.
