Hello, I’m Mack Partee and I am participating in the month long Bethany “Go Further for Families Walk/Run Event. During the month of November 2020, this event will help raise money to support Christian Services of North Carolina which provides: pregnancy counseling for single mothers-to-be who are considering adoption for the child; as well as certifying homes to be Foster Care homes.

FAST FACT: North Carolina has over 10,000 children in the foster care system.

This year has been challenging for all of us, and donations to non-profit organizations like Bethany are down. The money raised in this fundraiser will help us continue the important work Bethany Christian Services is doing in our community. Every dollar raised in this event will stay in North Carolina.

So how can you participate? Actually there are THREE ways you can be a part of this Walk/Run-athon:

2.    You can start your own team and get your family and friends to sponsor you.

  I have committed to the equivalent of TWO marathons (about 52 miles) this month to raise money for this event. For health reasons, I’ll be using a recumbent cross trainer to achieve my goal.

For this event, we have created teams to honor children that have impacted Bethany Christian Services of NC office or our own lives. Mine is named Team Carter Jean in honor of our youngest granddaughter. On September 5, 2018, our granddaughter Carter Jean was delivered stillborn. During that time, and still today, our family has received a great outpouring of love, support and prayers to help us with our loss. This same love, support and prayer is what Bethany is providing our communities through adoption, foster care, and pregnancy counseling.
