We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.

Story

On October 1st, myself, my mum and Matt are taking part in an 8km memory walk around Clumber Park to raise money for the Alzeimer's Society, leading the fight against dementia.

This is a charity that is very close to my heart. In 2014, my Grandma died at the age of 95 after suffering with dementia for around 6 years. It was heart breaking to watch her deteriorate, watching her forget her loved ones, her precious memories and even forget who she was herself.

However, I was personally quite lucky as she only forgot me towards the very end of her journey. Often, she might not remember specifically that I was her granddaughter, but she was always happy to see me and knew somewhere deep down that she loved me.

So I wanted to do this memory walk for her and to raise money for others who sadly have to suffer in the same way.
