Story
Welcome to the MUFG Run for Good fundraising page for the Fitprints for Good fundraiser. Fitprints is back for the second year – help us smash our target and exceed last year’s fundraising amount. Do your bit this month by being part of the force for good and join to complete a 5K run any time on Monday 19 October, all in the efforts to raise the much needed funds for our charity Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Laureus Sport for Good aims to use ‘the power of sport to end violence, discrimination and disadvantage’. Laureus sponsors more than 160 sport-based community programmes in 40 countries.

This year, with the help of Laureus, we will be raising money for programmes supporting young women and girls throughout EMEA. The aim is to:
- End violence against women and girls
- Increase women and girls' participation and leadership
- Eliminate gender disparities in education
One of the charities we are raising money for is School of Hard Knocks South Africa, a partner that Laureus are currently supporting in South Africa and the UK. They deliver programmes aimed at female school students between the ages of 13-16 who have been subject to exclusion in the past, are educationally disengaged or face possible permanent exclusion. Using rugby together with their psychologically-based individual development and 1-on-1 mentoring programme, they work with girls on issues like low confidence, poor self-control, difficulties with social cohesion and help them with goal setting and personal development.
The format of this event will be a virtual EMEA-wide 5km run, recorded by the Strava app. This will take place on Monday 19th October.
