Story
RAF Coningsby is holding a Dakota pull race to support the amazing work done by the RAF Central Fund. Teams of RAF personnel from across the base will be pulling the famous BBMF Dakota aircraft, weighing over 17,000 lbs, as fast as they can over the distance of 92 meters – that’s the sum of the wingspans of each of the five aircraft type in service with the BBMF.
Please dig deep with your donations as the teams dig deep to win the race!
The Royal Air Force (RAF) Central Fund is an independent charity that supports serving RAF personnel through grant funding to enable them to take part in sports and physical activities at all levels. The Fund wants everyone in the RAF, regardless of their role, rank, physical ability or competing level to have access to sports facilities, equipment and training; through this support they help to safeguard health and wellbeing.
