Story
MS Together is a support group for young people, aged 18-35, who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and are living in the UK & Ireland.
On 26th July, we aim to collectively walk/run 1 MILLION STEPS by midnight - that's approximately 500 miles! We have a team of 55 (who all have MS) and we plan on splitting the steps/miles between us. Some of us will meet up to take on the challenge together in the Peak District and others will complete it in their local area.
MS affects people in completely different ways. For some, they will need to use a wheelchair or walking aid, for others walking 5-10 minutes is a challenge, and then there are some who are able to walk/run for miles! That’s why this challenge is so perfect - we are able to split the steps so that everyone feels comfortable.
For anyone with MS, staying active can be hard because every day is different. We never know how we’re going to feel when we wake up and some days are harder than others. So, we know that for many, this will not be easy... but we're ready for the challenge! We’re called MS Together because together, we are stronger.
Please support our team in raising money and awareness for the MS Society UK. They are a wonderful charity that has supported many of us individually and as a group. We now want to give back in any way we can. We understand times are tough right now but any donations, big or small, will go such a long way.
Thank you so much!
