Story
Hi All
As Im sure you are all aware, MACP will be moving into our new home, a brand new building, beside Annagher Service Station in Coalisland very soon.
MACP are a charity, offering free counselling to anyone who resides or works within Mid-Ulster, although no-one from any geographical location will be turned away.
We have secured funding from the Halifax Foundation for Northern Ireland for three years, to pay for lease, heat light and power, as well as programme costs.
I am delighted to announce we have now secured a second sizeable grant, to pay for a "fit out" of the building. When complete, this state of the art mental health hub will house:
An office
Disability toilets
A kitchen
A large training room
A sizeable waiting area
A smaller waiting area
Three counselling rooms and the training room doubling up to provide two additional counselling rooms if needed; and
Full disability access with a lift.
All of this will be paid for over three years by both funders.
The not so good news is we dont have funding to pay for furnishings and additional equipment needed. These costs will be around £15,000.00, which we are required to raise ourselves.
Our latest donor is Friends to Talk Coalisland. Thank you so much Dympna, Shaun and the guys. Its amazing when a charity actually supports another charity financially, thank you so much for your kindness and compassion.
To date we have very kindly received:
£1000.00 from a Coalisland business who prefers to remain anonomous
£1000.00 from a Coalisland business who prefers to remain anonymous
£200.00 from MCA Communications Coalisland
£150.00 from Climate Source Coalisland.
£100 Christine Mc Nally (Stewartstown)
£100 Kelly Advice Services (Noel Kelly) Coalisland
Friends to Talk £500
Thank you all so much for your recognition and your kindness.
This leaves a deficit of £12900 to raise.
But MACP believes that business and laypeople who wish to make a donation get something in return.
So, we will offer free counselling to all employees, management and family members of staff and workers from businesses who wish to make any financial contribution towards furnishings and equipment MACP need at this time.
Should a business wish to make a donation please contact us and we will provide you with our newly commissioned business plan and five year strategy. This work was carried out in partnership with Insight Solutions Galbally. The work that Fergal and Wendy have done to date on our behalf has been absolutely amazing. We cannot thank you guys enough.
We will also provide you with materials which can be placed throughout your workplace, posters as well as our business cards, and information on counselling and what we can provide; all completely free of charge.
In addition, any individual or layperson who wishes to make a financial contribution, can do so and you guys will receive the very same deal as the businesses. Every penny counts!!
Perhaps some of you are thinking about fundraising through sport, coffee mornings, sponsered walks etc, it would absolutely fantastic if you keep MACP in mind as your beneficiary.
PLEASE NOTE: We are only accepting financial contributions at this time, as the entire decor, furnishings etc have already been selected. As generous as this type of contribution may be, please do not offer solid items at this time.

Thank you all who support the work we have been providing to this community since 2012, and we look forward to continuing to do so as we are expanding and will be offering additional services in the not to distant future.
And finally, we will be inviting EVERYONE to our opening which hopefully will be no later than August of this year. (Covid regulations will be fully implemented).
Thank you.
Joe (MACP CHAIR).
