Story
I am a senior Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at Isle Listen working within a fantastic team of passionate likeminded people who are committed to supporting young people with their mental health.
We offer a range of services through Isle Listen:
Our Wellbeing Facilitators work within secondary and primary schools, with children as young as 8 years old, educating students about mental health through classroom-based sessions and assemblies.
Within secondary schools we offer a confidential low level 1-to-1 listening service in which our Wellbeing Practitioners help students to manage their feelings with concerns such as exam pressure, friendship worries, bullying, social media difficulties and low self-esteem.
The therapists team offer low level therapy to those young people who may require a higher level of support than we can offer in school. We have a fantastic skill mix and wealth of knowledge and expertise within the team.
All our work is centered around early intervention and prevention; helping to avoid the unnecessary escalation of mental health problems.
All our mental health support for young people is provided free of charge, but to do this, we rely on charitable fundraising.
Thank you very much for your support to help us continue our vital work in our community.
