In June 2020, my dad passed away. He was a Trustee for Become, a charity he was passionate in supporting - I will be running the London Marathon 2023 for Become in memory of my dad and the incredible work they carry out every single year.

Become strives to help children in care and young care leavers to believe in themselves and to heal, grow and unleash their potential. They work alongside them to make the care system the best it can be. Their vision is that care-experienced people have the same chances as everyone else to live happy, fulfilled lives.

They impact the lives of young people in care and care leavers in lots of different ways, by providing advice and support, influencing policy and practice, helping guide the lives of young people in care and care leavers, enabling them to achieve their education aspirations and train professionals that work with young people
