Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Some of you may already know that I spent 5 days in the renal unit at Birmingham Children's Hospital with my daughter earlier this year. The staff were great, but there's no getting away from the fact that they could definately do with a better environment to make life a little better for the children. Some kids are there for months on end, the reality of which doesn't really hit home until you've spent some time in that situation. Just seeing the difference leaving the ward for half an hour made to my daughter made me realise how important the environment can be to the recovery process. BCH desperately needs a new renal unit and with your help we can try and make this happen sooner rather than later.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now, it's got to be worth it to see me attempting to run 13.1 miles!

Thank you!

Lydia

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital.
