Story

My story

Hello, my wonderful family and friends,

This year Children Change Colombia (CCC) is celebrating its 30th anniversary and to mark this exciting milestone, they are holding a 30-30 Challenge for 30 days in August, September, and October, so we are inviting all friends and supporters to participate.

For those not familiar with Children Change Colombia, they are a British registered charity that helps children to claim their right to live safely and in peace. They work with the children and their families to challenge poverty, inequality, discrimination, and violence in Colombia.

I have been a long-standing supporter and volunteer of this organisation since their early days as I have been passionate about the work that is carried out with children in need in Colombia.  I am a believer that children are the future of the world and I strongly believe that we should empower them by loving, caring, and supporting them and that is precisely what  Children Change Colombia is about.

I have decided to join the "30-30 Challenge" to contribute to the valuable work that this wonderful organisation carries out with their partner projects across the country.

My challenge will be to become vegan for 30 days as part of 30 days to healthy living in which I will be making healthier choices when it comes to nutrition and general well-being, a real challenge as I am a meat-eater. It will not only help me cleanse my body, reduce inflammation, lose weight, and feel energised but at the same time, with your kindness and generosity, we will be helping to improve the lives of many children in Colombia, who can become the future Presidents, Doctors, Solicitors, Teachers, etc... some of which I have already had the privilege of experiencing and seeing for myself.

I have actually visited some of the projects in the country and believe me, it has been a real turning point for me, seeing the impact that every penny makes and seeing all those beautiful faces full of appreciation and hope is something that is so valuable and touching to me.

I invite you to either join me in my challenge or participate with a challenge of your own, or to sponsor me with a donation so that together we can make a difference and support  CCC so that they can continue to support their partner projects

I invite you to read the story of Jairo and other stories on the website, and perhaps motivate you to take part.

I am aiming to raise £300, so that between you and me, we can help many boys and girls to fulfil their dreams of better education and a safe and secure future.

Thank you CHILDREN CHANGE COLOMBIA for all your hard and wonderful work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my page...
