Story
Having recently got married to my wife in Luddington All saints church, I have been really appreciative of the support the local community gave to us in preparing the ground and area for our special day.
My wife is from the village and her family still live there. To give something back to all the volunteers who supported us, we have taken part in various fundraising events over the last year.
The community doesn't have a shop, a pub or school and so the village hall is the hub of the community and many rely on this space.
Covid has impacted the funds that are normally raised and so we have supported the committee through various events to raise vital funds: including making cakes for the coffee mornings and the famous Ludflicks Pub Nights. These regular events help raise vital funds to keep the charity going. More info here: https://www.luddington.org/events/
All the funds have been raised in cash and go towards the village hall to help with providing local clubs, meeting spaces, classes and general maintenance of the facilities. A large part of the funds are being raised to fund a small extension to the building to improve the disabled access allowing a more inclusive facility for the surrounding community.
