Please help make staying home safe for more. Domestic abuse has always existed. I see it almost daily in my line of work and have been shocked by its prevalence at every level of society. It is a epidemic that doesn't always manifest as physical violence but often takes the form of coercive and controlling behaviour. Victims are left feeling trapped and alone, often making excuses for their abusers.

Now, with isolation keeping victims at home with their abusers, the pandemic has worsened the situation and domestic abuse calls have increased by 25% since lockdown. I am using my furlough leave as an excuse to bake lots of treats and deliver them (and a virtual hug) to your doorstep on my bike. The Home Secretary has pledged £2m to boost online support services and helplines for victims. This is a just a small proportion of the £48.2m emergency cash injection which Women’s Aid has been campaigning for the government to implement to help services buckling under the strain of the pandemic. Your donation can boost the funding available to enable victims seek help they need to escape their abuse.
