I'm running the Shakespeare Half Marathon on Sunday 7th May to raise money for the wonderful Scene and Heard!

Scene and Heard is a unique mentoring project that partners the inner city children of Somers Town, London with volunteer theatre professionals, giving them intensive, quality one-to-one adult attention and enabling them to write plays which are then performed by professional actors in (free!) public performances! 

The project aims to help improve the children's literacy skills, their attitudes towards education, develop their communication and social skills but most importantly to raise their aspirations and boost their self-esteem.

It is an absolutely vital community resource, offering the highest quality theatre with and for the people of Somers Town and those lucky enough to be in the audience too!

I went to my first show last summer called Risk it for a Biscuit! and was completely bowled over by the plays and everyone involved. It was a truly special evening and one I will always remember.
