I am having all of my hair shaved off on 29th October (during infertility awareness week) to raise some pennies for the Infertility Network who do invaluable work supporting those affected by infertility. As many as 1 in 6 couples in the UK experience problems conceiving and when you desperately want to start a family and you have to face the possibility of remaining childless it is often devastating.  

This charity has a free helpline and will often be someone's first port of call. This will be a lifeline to people who don't know where to turn.  Among many other things they also work closely with the relevant professional bodies and campaign for fairness relating to the IVF 'postcode lottery'. 

Those who know me well will not be surprised that I am supporting this charity. I've been one of the lucky ones. 

Please help me to help other people affected by infertility. 

My hair is really long right now and I am getting the whole lot taken off (number 1 on the hair clippers to be precise!). Special thanks to my brilliant friend Shelly who has agreed to perform the task at Aubergine Hair Salon!! I will be donating my hair to a charity which has wigs especially made for children who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment or Alopecia.
