We help blind and partially sighted people to break down the barriers of sight loss

Story

7 years ago, when Amy was 23, she was diagnosed with a condition called Stargardts Disease.  The disease, that affects just 1 in 10,000 people, is a central vision loss in early life.

The disease cannot be prevented, and is currently uncurrable.

Being diagnosed with this disease, being told you're partially sighted at 23 and knowing that the vision loss could get worse has been and still is a battle every day of Amy's life.  The simple things we take for granted, are not so easy, making every day tasks a struggle.

Running the Marathon is a HUGE challenge for us both. I am doing this for a few reasons; to raise money to help support the work of the RNIB, to raise awareness of Amy's condition and get fit enough to continue running with Amy should her condition worsen.

We would both appreciate your support in helping us reach our fundraising target....

Thank you

Lucy
