Story
On 15 July 2021 our beautiful baby Lowri was born sleeping at 21 weeks.
While on holiday in Pembrokeshire, Ruth’s waters broke suddenly and we were taken to the nearest hospital, Glangwili University Hospital in Carmarthen. Lowri died 24 hours later.
At Glangwili, we received such exceptional care from every member of staff - including the cleaning staff! - but the care and love shown to us by the midwives in the Antenatal and Labour wards was second-to-none. We cannot begin to thank them enough for carrying us through the worst days of our lives.
We named our baby girl Lowri Sophia, for the midwives that saw us through Lowri’s death and birth. We will never forget what they did for us, alongside all their colleagues.
We would love to raise some funds for the Glangwili Antenatal and Labour wards so that the training and equipment needed to support parents like us can continue to be provided.
We will never forget our precious daughter, and we do this in her memory. All our love sweetheart. We’ll be together again at the end. xxx
