Story
Anyone who knows me knows that I love a challenge. Whether that's training for my first triathlon while learning how to swim again, to baking gravity-defying cakes that take hours to create, I can't resist finding my limits and pushing them. Although I have not entered any events as charity places this year, I thought this would still be a great opportunity to raise some money for an incredible cause after a tragic loss this year.
Partners In Health (PIH) is a global health organization restoring social justice by bringing quality healthcare to the most vulnerable around the world. Paul Farmer, a co-founder of PIH, sadly passed away this year. Whilst I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Paul myself, PIH has been supported for years by the company I work for (as Ophelia Dahl also co-founded PIH).
I have paid full price for all entries to my events this year, so there is no pressure to donate anything for me to meet any particular target. That being said, anything you can spare will go to a wonderful cause and will continue the incredible work PIH are involved in, ensuring as many people as possible receive the healthcare they so rightly deserve.
My events this year include:
A 58-mile ultra run in Scotland, with over 10,000ft elevation (completed in June)
An Olympic distance triathlon in London (taking place in August)
A half Ironman in Dorset (taking place in September)
Munich marathon (taking place in October)
And a few other shorter races for good measure!
Thank you so much for your support x
