Eileen was an amazingly brave and inspirational lady who lived life to the full. She loved knitting and left a huge supply of yarn behind. I thought it would be a fitting (knitting) tribute to use her yarn to raise money for the hospital that cared so well for her at the end. Running a marathon is beyond me so I'm going to knit 26.2 metres by the end of the year and then give the knitted items to those in need.
