Lockdown has been challenging in more ways than one. So, I thought what better way to get my colleagues motivated and help some really good causes than to virtually either run, walk or cycle the length of the country. Myself, Tracy Geiran, Andy Smith, Tim Asling, Nicson De Silva and Charles Bushell are aiming to complete 1000 miles in two months. We’re starting on the 1st April and finish on the 1st June.
Tracy and I personally chose Love UnderDogs as one of the charities for the amazing work Karine and her team have done for us and our gorgeous boy Eric. Unfortunately, Eric wasn't coping well with our other rescue so we had to make the heart breaking decision to re-home him. Karine and her team had been supporting us with advice for both dogs and when the time came Karine was there for us and took Eric on. Every week they send us updates on how he's doing and thankfully he's progressing amazing well and looks so happy, especially with his new best friend Toby.
We can't thank Karine and her team enough, so hopefully the money raised will go some way to show our appreciation.
By supporting Love UnderDogs you are enabling us to do so much! Thanks to your wonderful support we are able to do the following:
- Give our animals the medical care that they need before being rehomed.
- Provide kennel and cattery space for our cats and dogs to stay until they find a forever home.
- Rehabilitate traumatised and injured dogs in the UK.
- Fund vaccination and sterilisation campaigns in Romania.
- Purchase equipment and medical supplies needed by our partners in Romania.
- Employ ‘Welfare Angels’ who specifically care for the most vulnerable animals at the Victory shelter in Romania: The puppies, the older dogs, the hospitalised and frail animals.
- Employ a welfare officer at the Brasov Municipal Pound ensuring the dogs receive basic care and the medical attention they need
