Losing our Locks with Lynsey

Fundraising for North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust Charitable Fund
£2,316
raised of £500 target

Story

As some of you will already know, our sister Lynsey was recently diagnosed with breast cancer.

Whilst the great news is that the cancer is currently “only” in the breast and lymph nodes; the not so great news is that the tumour is large and aggressive and Lynsey is about to undergo six months of pretty nasty chemotherapy to shrink it and will then have surgery to remove it followed by further chemotherapy & radiotherapy.

Lynsey is pretty much guaranteed to lose her hair and quite quickly too. In order to hold on to as much control of the situation as she can, she has decided to “just get rid” in one fell swoop and me and Hayley have said we will do it with her and try to raise as much money for the Breast Unit at North Tees as we can. They have already been brilliant at every stage of the process so far.

Hayley will also keep her hair and donate it to the Little Princess Trust as soon as they are accepting donations again.
