Lorraine's Chestnut Tree Challenge

Brighton Marathon 2015 · 12 April 2015 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am turning 40 next year and want to make the year count. I have recently started running again (not run since school) and found my passion for it again. I regularly do parkrun and have already competed in some 10k races. I now find myself wanting to push myself further and at the same time raise some money for a local charity. I chose Chestnut Tree House as I have friends that use the facilities with their children and I have seen the work they do. It is an amazing place that is a lifeline for many families. I plan to kick start my fundraising with the Bupa Great South Run on 26th October, followed by the Brighton Brooks 10k in November. I will then try to find at least 1 race a month until I run the Brighton Half Marathon in February followed by the Brighton Full Marathon in April - I'm Hoping to run at least 100 miles in races between October and April and would appreciate any donation to help towards my fundraising goal. My aim is to raise at least £1000 over the period of time (£10 per mile).
Having completed my challenge and raising more than my target I want to raise as much money as I can for this charity. Running Brighton Marathon I picked up a knee injury which has slowed my running down. I have a place in the Bournemouth Marathon on October 4th and will again be raising money for Chestnut Tree House. I will also fundraise for them in other races that I enter. Please help me raise as much as possible for this worthwhile cause
