Hi i'm Lorraine i am a HCA at st helens & knowsley hospitals, I am know for my hair from the colour or the styles to the braided in dreadlocks, many staff and patients never know what my hair will be like the next time they see me and if i'm honest neither do i! in the first lock down i was going to cut my hair short and a lovely friend and colleague named Angela Davidson who worked on the lilac centre said i should get sponsored at the time i didn't i told her " Its a lot of work to get sponsored" Ang never gave up trying to change my mind but i didn't co operate, sadly at the end of last year Ang passed away. Angela was a lovely kind funny woman who is missed greatly by all who knew her. I have now made the decision to shave my hair off in ang's memory with the funds going to the Lilac centre which is a cancer day unit at St helens hospital where patients recieve treatment. so on the 23/08/21 i will be getting it all shaved off.
