Well....i did it!! Managed to plod my way around the course.... and yes it was as tough as i thought it was going to be! completed it in 2:05:13 so im absolutely delighted.

Thanks to everyone for your support - it was what kept me going on the way round....and doing it for Uncle Brian was extra special.

Well, its that time of year again when I take on a new running challenge. Last year the goal was to complete a 1/2 marathon....I actually managed to complete two!!

This year, im sticking with the 1/2 marathon distance but taking on a much tougher course (very hilly i've been told!!). I have managed to secure a place to run the Great North Run in Newcastle on 19th September. To top it all, it will be broadcast on BBC......so look out for me on TV - i'll be waving frantically at every camera I see!!
