Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page in memory of the amazing Lorna Monje who recently left us after a long battle with Aplastic Anaemia.
Lorna was well known as one of the stars of the Great British Sewing Bee in 2015, but to her family, friends and colleagues, she was the most optimistic, thoughtful and friendly person you could ever meet.
To anyone who has ever crossed her path - her colleagues at Eurostar, competitors on the Great British Sewing Bee, friends in Canterbury and South America where she was born, her husband Ray, sons Richard and Robert, sister Maggie, and other members of her family, she will be dearly missed, and we will always remember her huge smile, sparkling eyes, and amazing sense of dress.
Lorna had many passions; she loved travelling and crossed the world's oceans multiple times on the cruise liners she loved so much; she was the most amazing and talented sewer you will ever meet and has helped so many in need of a new dress, or a new button; she loved the Kentish coast and family home in Dymchurch which held so many memories of her parents and brother Malcolm; but over everything else she loved her family and for all of us we are so grateful we got to know you Lorna.
