This March I sadly lost my Brother Gary to lung cancer. A vicious blow to me, our family and his friends.

I want to try and help other victims of this horrible disease by walking 26.2 miles at Shine Night Walk this coming September (27th).

Lung cancer is the most common cause of cancer death in the UK. Each year more than 43,500 people are diagnosed with lung cancer in the UK, and the disease claims almost 35,200 lives.

Although some progress has been made, Cancer Research UK is committed to making further progress. Their scientists and doctors are finding ways to detect lung cancer earlier, and developing new treatments that are more effective and gentler for patients.
