Story
Lee's Story:
* Lee Jamieson, Age 12
Our Son, Our World *
Amazing, kind, caring, footballer, go-kart racing driver - fit, fun, friendly, brave, cheeky, crazy, sociable, technical, clever, inspiring – these are just some of the words which describe Lee, but there is one word that goes beyond all ~ that word is Loved.
************
Loved to the Moon and back...
But Lee finally went to sleep in Robin House Children's Hospice on 24th August 2014.

Since Lee was diagnosed with leukaemia in Nov 2013, the support for our family has been incredible. During our time in Yorkhill Hospital a huge amount of money was raised in Lee's name ~ EK Caley Thistle walked the Loch with Lee, & bought X-Boxes & Tablets for the Schiehallion Ward & donated towards Radio Lollipop's move to the new hospital. Righead United Reformed Church hosted a Fun Day for Yorkhill Children's Charity & the MediCinema where Lee's pals joined him for his 12th birthday. They called themselves Team Lee, & STV filmed the 11 year olds shaving their heads on Boxing Day 2013, so Lee wouldn't feel any different from them. Lee's Story went round the Internet and *Drive for Lee* was created ...when Lee was too ill to make the The Scottish Car Show at Ingleston, they brought 130 Supercars to Lee at Yorkhill.
Together, they have raised thousands and we can't thank them all enough for supporting the care teams who were looking after us.
Lee has touched and inspired all that we know and hundreds that we don't.
John Hartson met Lee briefly at Yorkhill in Dec 2013, and has since had Lee's Story centre page in his Foundation's programme, and donated £50,000 to Robin House where Lee was so beautifully looked after in August.
Lee should have got better.
He should have gone to high school with his pals.
He was 95% in the clear. But once this rare leukaemia has broken through the medicine Lee was receiving, there isn't anything yet that can stop it.
That's why All our funds raised now go to the Scientists working in a lab on Lee's case.
Professor Michelle West is funded by Blood Cancer UK to work on the Epstein Barr virus and it's link with Burkitt Lymphoma & other B Cell tumors, and we were delighted that she was guest of honour at our *Live it for Lee* Ball in November 2015.
Already with the amazing support of the lovely people around us we have donated over £250,,000 to Blood Cancer UK in Lee's name.
We would love to have your support too, and I would be delighted to meet with you to discuss how you could help us to *Live it for Lee*, and help take us all One Step Closer to Beating Blood Cancers.
Please feel free to contact me, Lee's mum, for more information.
Thank you for listening x
Best wishes,
