Hello All! I have decided to volunteer for Livability (UK Based National Charity) during this ongoing pandemic to help them raise funds as part of an emergency appeal. I personally feel this is the right time for me to contribute back to our society. I need your support to make my crowdfunding proposal a success. Let’s hit this target!

About Livability

Livability strives to protect disabled and vulnerable people from social isolation by means of connecting them to a wider part of our society. Their core values underpin inclusion and harmony, which reflects in a range of services and community projects they deliver in collaboration with local authorities, carers and volunteers.

The notion of Livability’s services is clear- Every individual has the right to a full and flourishing life. They deserve all the commitment from us to create a liveable community.

Purpose

The current COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live and work. Due to this, there is a great degree of threat to wellbeing of disabled people who live in our communities. I believe this opens an opportunity for me and all of us to join hands so that care sector organisations such as Livability can continue to protect and steer these people out of this prevailing crisis.

Despite these challenging times, I strongly believe that financial resources play an important role to drive day to day aims of charities and this is where our generosity matters. To enhance capacity and coverage so disabled people can be continued to be supported. I need your help so that we all can make a difference together. Our contributions made under this appeal will enable the following:

• Personalised care from dedicated care workers and nurses to vulnerable and disabled people.
  
• Increased bed capacity to help people who are ill, and in turn help our NHS.
• Essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, surgical gloves and face masks.
• Easy-to-read information for people with learning disabilities and emotional support to relieve pandemic stress and worries.
• Physical support to help disabled people’s mental health and wellbeing, such as activities and games in the Livability care homes and gardens.
• Connections for disabled people with their loved ones at this difficult time, using technology such as Amazon Alexa.

Let’s set off a pandemic of kindness to save lives. Every contribution is valuable towards our society- whether it’s £10 that could buy up to 125 disposable gloves to protect residents and their carers or £100 to enable 10 hours of personalised care to keep disabled people healthy and well.
