Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
In September 2011, I ran the Cardiff Half Marathon, and will be taking the next step/leap by running the London Marathon on April 22nd, 2012 to raise funds for the cancer charity, Tenovus.
My lovely friend Hywel Jones is my inspiration. He is a Tenovus ambassador and cancer patient - if you keep your eyes peeled around Cardiff, you may see his picture on a double decker bus or three, advertising the charity! He writes a blog about his experiences with his wife Cathy, the aim of which is to raise awareness about the realities of the condition, as well as offering information and support to other cancer sufferers and their loved ones. Please share with your friends to spread his words.
Tenovus' ambitions as a charity are as follows:
"At Tenovus our aims are simple: to help prevent, treat and find a cure for cancer. In doing that we offer support, advice and treatment for cancer patients, information on cancer prevention, and funding for research to improve the outcomes for people with cancer. We do this where it is needed most - right at the heart of the community."
I'll be keeping you up to date with my training via this page and my blog, where all my runs will be logged.
If you are able to make a donation, Tenovus and myself will be very grateful.
Thanks again for reading,
Lisa.
