Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 18th May 2013 my wonderful Dad had a massive bleed on the brain, at the time we were told his prognosis was bleak. After 9 weeks in a coma we finally got Dad back from the brink.

The Walton Centre have made all the difference in their outstanding care and patience as my Dad slowly started to recover.

Just before my Dad got ill I started to run, for fitness, but after my Dad's illness my running helped me with the stress of having my precious protector turned into a child that could barely talk, or walk.

We are now nearing the end of our journey, at nearly 18 months on my Dad is nearly ready to come home.

Last year I ran the Wirral 10k in aid of the home from home appeal. This year watching my Dad learn to walk, talk and eat again I thought if Dad can overcome all the obstacles then I can run twice the distance.

Please help me help the wonderful people at The Walton Centre. So they, in turn can help the families now entering the very start of a journey no ones ever wants to face.
