Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In January I went to the doctors for what seemed like a sore throat, but to my surprise they diagnosed me with non hodgkins lymphoma cancer. I started chemotherapy on the 4th of March, meaning I'm going to lose my hair. But why not make the best of it?
Rather than let it fall out I've decided to have my head shaved for charity and for the hair to be donated to make wigs for children with cancer (Little Princesses).
With the help from Neil Caddy and Tina Bessell and the rest of the Pirate FM team, they kindly organised this event to take place on Thursday 21st of March between at 8 - 9 am whilst on-air (listen 102.2/102.8 FM). We will be placing links and a video online to raise awareness, so please help by liking, sharing and reposting this.
Sponsors and donations will be greatly appreciated and all funds raised will go to Macmillan cancer support and the Pirate Trust. I've still got a bit of treatment to go but luckily I've got my family to help me through this and fingers crossed by July I should have kicked this cancer out of me!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to Macmillan Cancer Support and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
You can also give to the Pirate Trust by texting 70070 and typing in LISA01 and the amount you wish to donate.
So to donate ten pounds text LISA01 £10 to 70070.
So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.
