Lincoln Community Larder has been providing local support to anyone in crisis since 1989. On the 18th August we marked 30 years of service. We don't think that anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That's why we provide a 3 meals a day for 3 days supply of nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis who are referred to us by frontline agencies. In 2018 we gave out over 10,700 food parcels serving a total of 3,562 people in Lincoln and the surrounding area, including 1,007 children. We also participate in the local FISH scheme (Food in School Holidays) working with several Lincoln based Primary Schools, providing them with a tailored food parcel aimed at feeding children who would normally eat twice a day at school. Each food parcel costs on average £15 and whilst we get a lot of food donated , especially at Harvest time, cash is equally as important as its needed buy the items that aren't donated
