Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Great Scottish Run half-marathon on Sunday 2nd October in memory of my Mum Margaret (Rita) who passed away in March 2019.

I have chosen to raise funds for Glasgow Association for Mental Health as my Mum lived for over 25 years with undiagnosed Schizophrenia (as well as post-partum psychosis after I was born in 1982).

Even after her diagnosis at 60 years old, her mental health issues were extremely debilitating and stopped her living life to the full.

I have suffered with anxiety and panic disorder for over 20 years and know how quickly mental health issues can cause problems in many areas of life.

Mental Health can affect anyone and I have chosen this charity in order to raise awareness of it for people living in Glasgow.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
