Story

My Challenge is to try and run an average of 10 miles per day for the whole of the month and average less than 7 minutes per mile.

Many of you will know that I run a lot normally. However, I have never run a 70 mile week, I normally average around 45 miles per week. I have often wanted to increase my mileage over the Winter months but have never managed it due to injury or lack of motivation.

I am hoping that this challenge will keep me focused on achieving the goal.

The hardest elements will be not being able to have more than one day off per week and not moaning to Karen about how tired I am!

My chosen Charity is Irish Retriever Rescue. It is a little known charity but they re-home many dogs that end up with them for a variety of reasons. Quite often dogs are surrendered by their owners because of changes in family circumstances. Others are abandoned and collected by Dog Wardens to be taken to a Pound. In 2010 Karen and I re-homed Leah from them. We saw Leah on their website and immediately fell in love with her. Sadly, Leah died in July of 2020. https://www.irishretrieverrescue.com/leah-2/
