The Armed Forces Para-Snowsports Team are an independent service charity, who support the recovery of wounded, injured and sick personnel and veterans. They strive to build a sense of purpose, encourage success and rebuild self-confidence using the power of para-snowsports (Charity Overview).

For the past decade, Leonardo UK Ltd has supported the AFPST through yearly events and activities to: promote exercise and wellbeing of the Leonardo employees who choose to participate and; support the great work of the charity.

This year is no different, as Leonardo have invited their employees (and their friends and families) and partners globally to participate in a challenge named 'Race to Space'. This challenge sees all participants adding to a cumulative total of kilometres in an attempt to get to the orbit height of the Galileo Satellite Constellation and back within a week - a total of 46,000km!

The kilometres are being recorded on Strava, and supporters will be able to check in on our progress through our posts to this JustGiving page. The kilometres can come in any form: from walking to swimming, running to cycling; Leonardo have ensured that all abilities and disciplines are included.
