In 2016, we sadly lost my younger sister Megan to cancer. Throughout her treatment she was supported and also fundraised herself for Cancer Fund for Children. 

As a family we were also supported by the charity and were able to make use of their facilities at Daisy Lodge. Our trips to Daisy Lodge in Newcastle were some of the rare moments that the five of us were actually able to spend together in between Megan’s countless hospital stays. 

Megan would be celebrating her 21st birthday in February and I can only imagine what she would be doing to celebrate…as a family we have had countless conversations on how we would celebrate milestones like this in memory of her and when I saw this event I knew it would be perfect! 

Any donation is greatly appreciated and will go towards supporting other families who are unfortunately going through what we have.
