Story

I would like to do a sponsored silence for the RSPCA Isle of Thanet branch, This centre has been very close to my heart for many years, that I have been proud to be apart of that now I want to give something to help our animals at our centre by bringing in much needed funds so our animals can get the best treatments and facilities that they need.

I am doing a sponsored silence because unfortunately many animals have suffered in silence for reasons being of homelessness, neglect and abuse, our animals do not deserve this, they can't say "stop" but instead shake there little bodies until they have had enough, this breaks my heart. It is never pleasant to see an animal come into the care of an animal centre absolutely terrified with such little trust and hope, but then most of our animals eventually regain our trust with a lot of our love, attention and dedication. We do not give up on any animal no matter what the injury, the age or the health problems that they may have developed. Every animal deserves every chance in this world that man kind has created for them, not just for us!

To see and experience many animals, with wildlife that need rehabilitation and many animals that have been brought into our care in such a terrible state that we just hope that they will make a full recovery. To see our animals go to there new homes is so rewarding, exciting and can be very emotional.

But looking after our animals and maintaining the centre does also come with the cost of vet Bill's and other facilities like to feed them, water them and to maintain the centre in order to keep our animals in a safe and secure environment. In recent years with covid 19, it hasnt been easy with the financial loss with our shops that have had to close during covid which is our main source of income, we rely on donations and every penny that is donated goes to every animal that have been welcomed into our centre to the dedicated team so we can get our furry family back on the road to recovery and into a loving family home that they can call there own.

Every penny no matter big or small, goes along way to help our small but very dedicated centre to continue our hard work so I'll be carrying out a sponsored silence on the 23rd of March, I will be monitored from 8am til 5pm to bring in much needed funds!

It isn't easy for me to stay quite because I like to chat and have a laugh, I dont ever stop, I even talk in my sleep so this challenge will be difficult for me but I am determined that I will do it to support the RSPCA.

Thank you for reading this and I hope that your able to  cheer me on in supporting of the animal centre xxx
