I've chosen to raise money for Maggie's Cancer Centre in Swansea.

This is a cause very close to my heart having lost two members of my family in their battle against cancer. From the experiences of my own family, Maggie's centres provide unquestionable support for both cancer patients and their loved ones. 

The centres provide respite and hope to those in need of it.

They run classes in yoga, tai chi and nutrition to help people manage the emotional and physical turmoil they go through at this distressing time. 

Situated next to the South West Wales Cancer Centre at Singleton Hospital, Maggie’s will serve people living within the south west area. 

In this area, there are over 3,000 new cases of cancer a year and 20,000 people living with cancer.

Maggie’s South West Wales will be the first centre to collaborate with the cancer genetics service to offer information and practical support to people who are at risk of cancer, based on family history.

Maggie's South West Wales forms part of the Joy of Living campaign: we are working towards raising £3 million for this centre. We need your support to help build Maggie’s.
