Charity Football Match in aid of Redditch Night Stop!!

Where it all began........ 

33 years ago a bunch of lads used to get together and play football in the local park, after seeing them meet up so often, Steve and Dave decided to start a football team and invite all these lads to join, they named it Lakeside Football Club, and that was the beginning! 

The aim of the team is to bring all kids together, especially those who did not believe in themselves as much as they should have! It didn’t matter how good they were, whether they were new to the game or pro’s, it was about them trying their best, being committed and becoming part of a supportive team. The original team lasted for many years, and although they never won the league, or the trophies, they became part of the Lakeside FC TEAM, which then became a family ❤️ and most importantly it changed many lives. 

This year, 33 years on, and a big thanks to Astwood FC, we are able to arrange a reunion along with having a Charity Football Match to raise funds for a very worthy local cause; 

Redditch Nightstop

are a charity that provide Emergency Accommodation and a range of services to help prevent homelessness for young adults, their aim is to ensure every young adult has a safe place to call home. 

As a local charity Redditch Nightstop works together with young adults, their families and agencies to prevent homelessness. They provide a range of learning opportunities around tenancy sustainment and wellbeing. 

The money raised will allow the charity to fund clothing, identification documents, gas/electric, items to set up a home, fresh food and supported lodgings.
