I'm walking 26.2miles in 6.55 mile circuits over the next two weeks, starting from 29th May.

We are fundraising for the final stage of the Lewisham Urban Opera, a project for the Lewisham Borough of Culture 2022. Since September 2021, through 14 community workshops & 5 individual school projects, a talented group of local creative professionals have been sharing skills to grow our new urban opera community group & have, in those few months, become a creative family. We have been working towards a brand new people's opera, bringing voice, joy and expression for our wonderfully diverse & growing group of Lewisham residents, improving the well-being of participants & arts professionals alike. What's more, the combined talents, energy & generosity of spirit of our group has already created a show that is bursting to be released from the page. Written & scored by the fantastic Gwyneth Herbert & wonderful dramaturg Susannah Tresilian, directed our very own Thomas Guthrie - created & performed by the community, a celebration of Lewisham that needs to be shared - your Urban Opera!
