Story
To raise money for the Refugee Women Connect charity (RWC), the UoL Medical School Women’s Football Team are planning to walk/run/ cycle our way to Nigeria, 2999miles (4826.4km), in the month of June.
In the last few years, some of our team have been lucky enough to play football along side a team of women that are involved with the RWC. These football sessions are run by a lady called Comfort, who is particularly passionate about bringing women together through the power of football. The passion and kindness she shows every week inspired us to make this virtual journey to where she was born. Please take a minute to read her story! (See link below)
We would really appreciate you getting involved in anyway you can to help us reach our mileage and fundraising goal! If you can give anything from £1 to £100, donate us your 1K to 5K run, or even just share this link, we would be very grateful!
We start tomorrow, Monday 1st June, and we will keep you updated with our progress as we go along!
